HOW TO CREATE A VACUUM:

1. Fill the container with coffee, or tea, or whatever you want stored, and put on the lid.

2. Attached the pump to the central valve in the lid.

3. Pump up and down until the vacuum indicator moves down and becomes flush with the lid.

4. Set the month and day dials to the current date so you don’t forget when you created the vacuum. The seal will last for 20-30 days, so if you plan to keep anything stored longer than that, make sure you re-pump as required.
