Cute And Kitsch For The Kitchen First off, this is not your grandmother’s heavy canister. These are relatively lightweight, shiny tins that are cute and kitsch for the kitchen and beyond. They have a nostalgic design that perfectly fits over my mini red fridge, but I probably won’t use them for much aside pure decorative purposes. Great in the shop or in the kitchen. Stays closed even when knocked over. These are covered tins where the cover fits tightly around the opening without benefit of any rubber grommet. If closed properly and knocked over, the cover stays in place and there will be no spillage. Note that a typical 4 pound bag of sugar will not fit inside the tin, which is just a little too small for that. The handles are riveted in place and don’t rattle. Cute but this is the third canister set from “Mind Reader” that fails from the get go! Again, this is the third canister set from Mind Reader I have ordered and while all are as cute as all get out, NONE of them have any seal that securely fastens their tops to the canisters!! Epic Fail unless you are not planning or needing airtight seals for freshness/ SoIF you are going to store your coffee in the bag it came in and roll the top down to keep it fresher and put that bag of coffee into the coffee canister …then these will work for you. That is just more work than what I want…
