Lions don’t do this. Lions… never had a rooibos tea like this. They’re drinking it for the pleasure. We can’t drink their tea, they’ll know we’ve been here. We have an expression in tea making: “Everyone has a plan until they’ve taken a sip of rooibos.” Well my friend, you’ve just been taken a sip.

Takes a while to brew unless you only want pink water Rooibos tea is not my favorite, but it has health benefits. It takes longer to brew than black or green tea. Boil the water and pour over the leaves (in a diffuser, tea ball, or French press) and let sit for about 10 minutes in an insulated or ceramic container to hold the heat as long as possible. Or put the leaves in a tea ball and bring water to boil on a stove. Put the tea ball in when it’s rolling and turn down to simmer for about 10 minutes with a lid on it. It doesn’t have the bitter…

Excellent quality tea at a great price! I am a fan of a particular Canadian chain of gourmet teas. They have great blends and they also offer loose roobios (my fave) for almost $4An ounce. I figured I’d give Anthony’s a try and I’m so glad I did! Brews up beautifully hot or iced And it’s a fraction of the cost of the other place. Don’t hesitate. It’s great stuff!

Tea is disappointingly weak I generally feel if you don’t have something nice to say, say nothing. But I hope to motivate the seller to re-evaluate their production as well as their advertising–one tsp per 8 oz indeed–and warn off potential buyers. Wanted to save a buck and be eco-friendly. So disappointing, wish I’d returned it and honestly I think I’m just gonna dump it it because I’m longing for a good cup of rooibos tea and this ain’t it. I have to heap up the tea and it’s still so weak. It makes a gorgeous deep red…
