Our Milk Oolong is a high grade, handpicked Oolong tea. Health benefits attributed to Milk Oolong tea include contributing towards weight loss, bone structure and good dental health, reduction of health conditions such as inflammatory disorder, heart disease, high cholesterol and digestive problems.
The tea farm that we supply this tea from is in Minjian tea growing region, Nantou County, Central Taiwan. Elevation 400-500m (1, 300-1, 600ft). The tea leaves are handpicked and undergo the regular oolong ball rolled tea processing techniques. A light touch of flavoring is blended in during the process to further enhance the natural milk flavor and aroma found naturally in this tea. The tea plant varietal is Jinxuan (Golden Lily) Oolong – a special strain of Camellia Sinensis developed by TRES (Tea Research and Extension Station) in 1981, which in its natural from has a subtle milk aroma and taste. This batch is from the April 2016 Spring Harvest.
