Rooibos is a member of the legume family of plants, and is commonly used to make a tisane (herbal tea) in South Africa. Rooibos grows exclusively in the Cederberg Mountain region and around Clanwilliam and Citrusdal. During summer and early autumn the plant’s branches are hand-harvested and cut into smaller pieces. The raw Rooibos is then moistened with water, thoroughly bruised then placed in heaps and allowed to oxidize for 8 to 24 hours. After oxidation, the herb is spread out in a special yard to dry naturally in the sun. We source our Rooibos directly from one of the pioneers of organic Rooibos processing in South Africa. Made of Superfine Grade, the leaf is fine and thin like needles. Rooibos is Caffeine-free.

Very good quality tea I’ve tried several brands of Rooibos tea and this is my favorite, I typically sweeten with honey or agave but this brand barely needs any. Enjoyable chilled or hot, good stuff.
This Is Rooibos I’ve tried other rooibos and this is the best.Look no further.The Tao of Tea doesn’t mess around.Rooibos only grows in one small area in South Africa. That means some companies cut corners with rooibos that’s been sitting on a shelf for a while or is full of twigs and bark.There are lots of leaves in the Tao of Tea’s rooibos. I might be all leaves.
