Be smarter than the mug people! So many reviewers are complaining about this thing keeping coffee too hot and adding cream/sugar through the drink hole. THEN place the top on and plunge. You’re Welcome.
YES, yes, yes! (pic “Harry Met Sally” Scene) Bought June 2015: I use it every day since I purchased it, and it’s still going strong. No issues, except occasionally the coffee straining filter end needs to be hand re-tightened on to it’s supporting “post” (otherwise it gets left behind in container and is onry to get out). Excellent consistent coffee quality. Tip: Don’t fill the container part up so full of fluid, that the screen doesn’t “sit” easily on top of fluid at brewing onset … otherwise you get coffee grains in…
Flawed Design The stroke of the plunger is too short, resulting in well over an inch of coffee/tea left in the bottom of the press, plus protruding at least an inch down from the lid. Not very practical. Will continue searching for a better product. The poor design of this tumbler is disappointing because Bodum makes excellent glass-based presses.
