Wonderful for white or green tea too hot to touch with black or puerh tea

Perfect for my evening “grandpa” style oolong I picked this in glass so I could watch it steep. The teacup is 1oz and the pot is 4oz. Refill the pot from your kettle, steep, then decant into the tiny teacup. It is a very different way for me to enjoy tea since I come from the orange-pekoe western-style in a huge 16oz mug. This entire process is totally relaxing and enjoyable and this is a lovely set.(PS shipping is stoopid cheap because it is going to come on a boat from china. It is worth the wait.)

Good but with a flaw This gaiwan is beautiful and functional. You can really see the color of the tea well, making it easy to know when it’s ready to strain.I did remove a star because of a design flaw. The knob on the lid is hollow, and if you tip the gaiwan forward too quickly when pouring, water goes into the hollow area and burns your fingers. I almost dropped it a few times.
