Probably just a design flaw The cup broke the first time I tried to make tea. It is a pity because the cup is beautiful. I have same cup from this company with lotus print on it, made tea in it many times and never had any problems. Perhaps this one had small flaw. The return of the defective cup was processed with no problem and I’ve got my many back fast.
