(Revised) Good product…until it cracked after only four months of use. **Second update: as it turned out, the company offered to replace the tea pot- good on them- but then wanted me to pay the shipping. Based on the principle of the matter, in that a product that I did not pay shipping for the first time around failed through no fault of my own, I did not accept, and thus have not had the chance to re-test this little pot. Instead, I purchased this one: Hario Chacha Kyusu Maru Tea Pot, 700ml, and it has been working equally well. No cracks yet…
Inferior Basket The half-moon glass and plastic pot were exactly as expected. But unlike other infusers I’ve owned that are otherwise identical, the stainless steel cup or basket on this is inferior in my opinion in two ways: 1) The wire mesh is not very tight and, so, allows far more of the tea ‘dust’ to leach through into, and settle to the bottom of, the pot. 2) The basket does not have a wire handle. This means you have to use your fingers or figure out some other method of extracting the basket…
