This filter doesn’t filter well. I’m rather surprised at all the 5 star ratings this filter has. I don’t think I received a defective one, but when I tried it out, I had a quarter inch of coffee mud at the bottom of the jar. The silt that wasn’t filtered out made the coffee undrinkable. I just use regular store-bought ground coffee, and if you plan on doing the same, this filter isn’t for you. I have found 2 others that work well for pre-ground coffee.
Great product and this is the way to brew coffee! I bought this Zell cold brew coffee filter well over a two years ago and I have been using it regularly ever since. I love this filter because of the ease of use and how easy it is to clean. As mentioned in the description (or possibly another review), it is best to use a coarse coffee grind as it will not leave any residue. If you use fine coffee grind, your last one or two coffee you make out of it will really taste bitter and you will have a fine powder in those last 2 coffees as well…
Zell cold brew filter This stainless steel filter is so easy to use! I use it for making cold brew coffee and tea, hot fresh coffee and tea. It all works. Because the strainer fits in a quart jar, it’s easy and convenient, takes up little space in the frig. And in less than 24 hours, depending on how strong you like it, it’s ready! Either as a concentrate or ready to drink, as is. The grounds are easily tapped out. I highly recommend it.
