A nicely designed kettle that needs a better filter The kettle feels nice and handles well. It is designed well and is modern enough. I would have preferred a less curvy or bulbous handle and a muted gray color instead of black, but that’s just my personal preference. The heating element is Strix, and it is 1500 W. The electrical cord is sturdy and has a 3 prong grounded plug. I think this makes for fast and safe water boiling. Compared to another similarly priced kettle, this one is a better value. Very quick; no plastic contact 4.3 stars. Quite convenient. I use it sometimes to ‘just barely warm’ water (in which case the 500 ml minimum isn’t as important). The cycle is clean w/no heated plastic, and it beats needing to turn on a stove burner 5 min. just for the element to heat up. Slightly cumbersome pouring the water out of the pitcher, so might want to guide with the opposite hand on the base below the warmed glass body.
Thinking of returning this. A strong plastic smell. We’re still searching for a kettle that doesn’t have plastic in contact with the water or the steam. Want glass with stainless steel.
