The teapot started off very nicely and it was easy to use and it whistled … The teapot started off very nicely and it was easy to use and it whistled loudly. However, about 3 months after using it and after the return period, it began to leak at the bottom seam. The water seeps through the seam when the pot is hot and leaves marks on the stove. It also developed a rusty area around the leak. I would definitely not recommend this product.

The chrome coating on the handle where the little lever to open and close the spout is pressed, starts peeling. It reveals a copper colored something or other. Definitely not stainless steel. I was wondering what those little shiny metallic looking flecks were, that I found around the cooktop, and floating in my tea. Today, only a few weeks after receiving the kettle, the chrome has peeled off from the end of the black…
