HAMILTON NO DAY AT THE BEACH Extremely disappointed, used this product about 20 times and thought it was great. Then one morning hit the start lever and went about getting ready for work, returned to the kitchen to find that the unit was boiling water like crazy, water all over the counter and dripping down on my hardwood floor, unit almost boiled dry and would have if given a few more minutes. Tried the unit again after letting it dry out completely and the same thing, did not shut off, just kept heating until the water…
Another Broken Hamilton Beach Kettle < 1 Year Old | TERRIBLE WARRANTY SUPPORT Breaks after less than a year of use, could be the safety fuse BUT…the bottom of the kettle is held in place by what can only be China-specific 3-slotted screws. So, I can’t replace the fuse (as another user suggested). Hamilton-Beech’s recommendation? Send back the kettle and get a replacement…shipping at buyer expense BOTH WAYS. So…shipping would be > cost of new kettle. Guess I’ll be getting a new kettle, but Hamilton Beach will never get a cent from me again. DON’T WASTE…
Buyer Beware Bought this unit back on November, 2016. Lasted only until March, 2017. Defective switch. Called customer service for a replacement and they said because it was under a limited warranty, I would have to pay for shipping. Shipping cost would be more than half the cost of the product. Not worth it.
