The handle didn’t get hot I just received this tea kettle and used it for the first time. The water heated quickly and the handle only got slightly warm. The lid has a tighter fit than any other tea kettle I’ve ever purchased. Press the button under the handle to open the top on the lid and it stays open. Push the button on the top of the handle to close. This seems to be a nice feature to prevent spills. The kettle seems to be well constructed and the color is very pretty.
