Great alternative to Teavana tea tins I highly recommend this tea tin and the company that sold it to me, Ryu Mei Organic Green Tea Shop. Not only is the price reasonable, but the tin itself is very high quality. It is fairly large, holding maybe 7 ounces of loose tea.
Good tins I bought a bunch of these to hold my tea collection. The designs are nice. The internal plastic lid helps to keep out air, which keeps your tea leaves fresh for longer. I prefer tins with a metal internal lid, though, because with these plastic ones, it’s possible to put them in at an angle so that the container isn’t properly airtight. A small quibble, but the extra annoyance is worth a star. Still worth buying if you can’t afford the more expensive washi tins with metal internal lids.
The product is very beautiful but terrible company’s quality control I ordered 6 tea tins from Ryu Mei via Amazon. 3 tins had very deep twisted dents and 1 has a dent. The shipping box wasintact as well as babbles and bags covered tins (no damage at all), so obviously terrible accident happened before packing. The 3 got awful twisted dents by forced by a machine or something like that.I will not buy anything from them any more.
