100% All-Stainless Steel Interior, including the Lid and Pour Spout! I have searched far and wide over the years for the holy grail of electric kettles: a 100% all-stainless steel interior. I first began with a Hamilton Beach 40898, which I thought had a stainless steel interior except I discovered that the inside of the lid was plastic. I have researched over 3-4 dozen models and this is only one of two models that I’ve found that not only has stainless steel in the bottom portion which is in contact with the boiling water, but also the inside of the top lid…

Did not last false warranty Cheap plastic hinge on lid broke in less than a year. The product page stated two year warranty, so I contacted the seller for a replacement and they didn’t honor the warranty.

Rust is not caused by boiling water, but coming from hole where mechanism responsible for shutting off the kettle boiling process is located.
