Did not last false warranty Cheap plastic hinge on lid broke in less than a year. The product page stated two year warranty, so I contacted the seller for a replacement and they didn’t honor the warranty.
Great until it isn’t. Secura warranty & customer service is fantastic. I was one of the first people to purchase this kettle off of Amazon since at the time there were no reviews. Like others I searched high and low for a kettle that had no plastic coming in contact with the water. This one seemed quite promising. Upon receiving I was impressed. This product is good except for its least anticipated flaw This product is good except for its least anticipated flaw: the power cord heats up so much that it could melt, causing possible danger of burns or electric shock.After using this electric kettle once a day for several months, I had to pull the plug on it to avoid possible danger from the overheating power cord!I do NOT recommend this product unless the manufacturer of SECURA succeeds in solving the overheating power cord problem.
