Premium Organic Japanese Sencha Loose Leaf Green Tea.

Light yellow in the cup, with a fragrant bouquet and a smooth refreshing taste. Made with young organically grown leaves from a JAS certified organic plantation located at 400-600m above sea level (some of the highest in Japan) in the natural surroundings of the Southern Alps in Shizuoka, Japan. Cool temperatures in the mountain areas slows leaf growth and concentrates aroma in the leaf

Small batches are shipped from the manufacturer weekly to ensure long shelf-life. This tea has also been vacuum-sealed immediately after being processed to seal in the freshness. Teas from Ocha & Co. were selected to represent Japan at the 2015 Speciality & Fine Food Fair at Olympia in London and a Sencha from the plantation won first prize Japan`s top tea competition in 2016

The Ocha & Co range is made up of the following high grade teas: Sencha, Fukamushi (deep-steamed sencha), Kabusecha (shade-grown), Reicha (asamushi & Fukamushi blend for cold-brewing), Gyokuro (shade-grown) Kukicha (stems and twigs), Black Tea, Shincha (in season) and Matcha. The teas have been selected to strike a balance between quality and affordability. Shipped airmail the same day and only takes between 7-10 days to arrive from Japan.

Absolutely spectacular I don’t exactly consider myself a connoisseur, but I’ve had some damned fine senchas and this one ranks among the best in spite of its modest price compared to the senchas marketed as super-premium and such. As others have mentioned the color is a deep green rather than a pale or a yellow one. Texture is buttery, flavor is only slightly grassy and astonishingly naturally sweet—I normally add sugar to cheaper teas but even a small amount of sugar completely spoils the magical flavor if this tea…

Arrived almost a month early from Japan!! The tea came almost a month early. It was delicious, exactly as promised. It is an aromatic, lovely tasting organic tea that I usually get from my local tea shop. However, they do not always have it in stock so I took a chance and ordered it through Amazon. It was well worth it. The tea was fresher tasting and I saved a lot of money ordering it directly from the farm. I wish I could support local business but there are middlemen and I can’t always get it, so this method is best for me. I…

Top quality Sencha Excellent product, very close to what I have had in Tea shops. I have been drinking green tea for many years, but never really experienced great green tea until I spent a few months in Austin and stayed near a place called the Steeping Room. They really turned me on to the complex flavors and different styles of Green tea. I have had the Japanese Matcha, Genmaicha, Sencha and and some Chinese gunpowder green. while far from an expert, I really enjoy this Sencha green tea, and from time to time…
