Exactly the flavor and quality of Assam that I was looking for at an incredible price. This is the flavor I’ve been looking for in Assam tea. I became addicted to what they call “Royal Milk Tea” when I lived in Japan- it’s strong assam tea with creamer and sugar added, very nice for afternoon teal time. You need a strong, assertive tea to stand up to the cream and sugar, with that trademark malty flavor that Assam has. Strong black Assam tea It is a great value and strong malty Assam. It is a little lacking in fragrance and the package is not sealable, but the combination of the price for 2 lbs and the taste of real Assam is unbeatable! I usually buy my black tea from English tea store. This tea might not be as fragrant and complex, but the price is fantastic. This tea is in granules, not leaves. It is very concentrated, so take less of it per cup than the regular Assam. I would say it is similar to Irish Breakfast Tea in granules…
